Golf Course Rankings 2010:

Declan Branigan Designs were delighted to see that two of the courses that it maintains under its contract maintenance service, Seapoint G.C and Ashbourne G.C, once again featured in the top 100 courses in Ireland. Seapoint moved up one place to 26th , while Ashbourne featured at 88th.

Letterkenny G.C. made its break-through into the top 100 in 96th position. This was on the back of a significant redesign and drainage programme that was implemented by DB Designs between 2003-2008. Officials at the club are delighted to see that their investment has been worthwhile.

2010 has been a busy year for Declan Branigan Designs as we have become agronomic consultants to an additional three golf clubs, namely Ardee G.C., Donabate G.C. and Warrenpoint G.C. Work has begun in earnest and the clubs have enjoyed improvements in both the condition and presentation of their courses. DB Designs also provides an agronomic service to Letterkenny G.C and Limerick G.C.

'For a number of years we had been disappointed with the condition of our golf course. A member said that he had heard of improvements in the conditioning of Ardee G.C that coincided with the appointment of Declan Branigan Designs. Warrenpoint G.C. decided to engage the agronomic services of DB Designs, on a temporary basis, to see if their recommendations and advice would bear fruit. Within two months, the members began to see the benefits of the appointment. The entire condition of the course has improved, so much so that we have just signed a contract to retain their services.
